BMW S1000RR Gulf

The picture above is the Wunderlich’s Gulf oil design BMW S1000RR. Finished in the blue and orange colors of Gulf Oil Racing and fitted with tonnes of carbon fiber and titanium parts, the Wunderlich’s BMW S1000RR is a blend of the old and the new which marks the celebration of 25 years in the business. Making not much changes to the bikes awesome performance Wunderlich focus mainly on the bikes aesthetics and riding ergonomics.

Main changes on the BMW’s is the clip-on handlebars, Wunderlich added a single raised flat-bar handlebar, which allows the rider to have a more upright seated position, but also places the arms farther out, giving a rider better leverage over the steering column. The vinyl seat has been replaced with a non-slip ultrasuede, which Wunderlich says helps the rider stay connected to the bike.

Wunderlich also added a Leo Vince exhaust with a Power Commander, which helps boost the S1000RR’s performance figures, and the double-bubble windscreen helps one tuck-in when traveling at ludicrous speed. Overall this is a bike that is worth keeping in the garage.

KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R: prototype versus production model

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

I saw this bike last weekend at the Brussels car and motor expo and found it to be a few notches less exotic than the prototype we all saw more than a year ago.
KTM site is only mentioning the black or orange version.
The race version with the dual color wheels is also street legal.

Motor and car expo Brussels Belgium

Saturday, January 18, 2014

So i paid a little visit to the bi-annual expo in Brussels.
Lots of nice stuff to see.
KTM got a nice stand, Kawasaki bikes sat great and MV agusta sat like rubbish.
Heels touching everywhere and knees doesn't get a comfortable place.
Aprillia was even worse, it's like they made their bikes for midgets.

The new ducati monster was a disappointment with a shitload of cheap plastic parts everywhere, a naked bike with no engine to be seen and the same heels touching everywhere and knees are hitting the end of the frame.

The ZX10R looks and sits great.
The new Z1000 sure got the looks to talk about and I dig the Rizoma version of it.

And for the rest retro retro retro, every brand got some new or comeback retro modells which is great.
There is even a brand new brand out (Chinese manufacturer) that only makes retro styled air cooles bikes http://www.mash-motors.be/nl
